Do you mind if he breathes, Dad???

Kids are insane, and Susan up there, is blaming the dad! Typical mom who thinks their kid can do no wrong!
Sorry Susan, that’s not how it is! (no matter how much you think you’re right)

He did ask if he was ok first. Then when he saw the boywas OK he said what he did. Good parenting. similat to get up and try it again.

He’s been raising a boy for nearly ten years, and before that he was one himself. He knows this is typical behavior for the creature under discussion.

Susan doesn’t have kids. I think due to how she was treated as a kid. But I do think that there’s a way to raise a kid better than how you were raised, without going overboard to the opposite extreme.

Yes, and also because I really don’t like kids or parenting.
But I still think Dad is wrong in this strip.

And I’d chalk it up to parental awareness of child efforts to distract!

He’s not a bad boy, just rambunctious.

Those all things that most of us were told as children not to do. It’s not as if he asked him to stop drawing or reading. I think Dad just hopes to raise a civilized child who can mingle with “polite company”.
