Where the heck was the “Homework hot line lady” when I was wading through my homework?

Homework hotline lady should say she didn’t write the book so how should she know?
As for the verb being an action verb, everything a cat does is an action verb except sleep!

I too never had a homework hotline never new it exsisted. In the town I had to move to I don’t know if there was a homework hotline for my kids since I had to help them somewhat when they brought homework home.
Ruthie just makes the story funny.

With Ruthie around, I don’t think that Homework Hot Line will last much longer–especially after the Hot Line Lady has a nervous breakdown.

all those homework hotlines did was tell the student to read the pages the assignment told them to read, they didn’t help them do the problem

The Homework Hotline Lady probably loves and lives for Ruthie’s calls. Otherwise her job would be a lot more boring. Ruthie adds spice to it!
