   I call them “apples and oranges” conversations:

   “That sure is a pretty apple”
   “This orange sure is sweet”
   “That APPLE looks delicious!”
   “THIS orange is JUICY!”

   And so on with increasing volume and emotions, with each person talking about their subject, and not really listening to what the other is talking about. They are surprising common conversations, and frequently get very heated.
