Back in the early 90’s (I think), there was a TV ad for some brand of children’s outer wear. From a back view, the audience saw a woman’s hand literally pushing her kid out the door in all kinds of inclement weather.
That commercial was soon dropped. Reckon it stirred up storms of protest from viewers claiming it depicted child abuse.
Rick Detorie brings together 3 generations in his whimsical strip. From the kids Ruthie and Joe, to their parents Ellen and Frank, and yes, even the grandparents who live next door: Rose and Nick, hey, it’s one big happy!
