   I expected him to drag in a new vacuum, dump dirt on the floor, and give a “demonstration”, only to find out that the electricity has been turned off.

   When I was selling vacuums I loved doing the demonstration, I tried to make it fun.
   I did not like closing, just don’t have it in me to bully people into spending money they don’t want to spend.

   Last time someone came to my house (my husband signed up for I was not happy he turned it over to me) I was ready for them to leave. They use filters and not bags. When they use your vacuum makes you think your vacuum is no good and it is.

   There’s an old joke about a vacuum cleaner salesman who always dumped some dirt on the living room floor as a part of his demonstration.

   He went to a farm house and was invited in. While he was trying to tell the lady why she needed to buy a new vaccuum, he dumped some dirt on her carpet.

   She asked him, “Now you can show me how well your machine works. I don’t have electricity!”

    I had some vacuum cleaner salespeople come by here last summer.

    They sure do put the pressure on to make the sale… but I just could not see spending more for a vacuum cleaner than I paid for my car.
