I remember using some to get a teddy bear for my cousin Matt, then a baby, now 42. So about 1971.

I think Green Stamps and Blue Chip Stamps went bye-bye in early 1974, during the Arab oil embargo, when the price of gas skyrocketed from 32 cents to a whopping 49 cents a gallon within weeks. Remember the gas lines?
