I really enjoy this strip and I love the human element that the artist and cartoonist bring to it. Thank you, Carla and Henry.

I thought it was called a “comic” strip? How depressing.

Go read “Nancy” then and leave the big boy stuff to other people.

Is she standing or sitting? Is that the arm of the chair that someone forgot to paint red or is it her?

You must not have been reading Funky Winkerbean when Lisa lost her battle with Cancer

    Depressing? yes

It was also possibly one of the best storylines ever told in daily comics form

Claire’s mom’s butt needs to be scootched over a bit more on the chair, closer to the dad. As it is, it looks like she’s sitting on air.

I think she’s supposed to be on the arm of the chair. She ought to be on his lap. Even Jane Eyre would concur (just finished it!).

I do hope everything turns out well for dad. The waiting is one of the hardest parts. This story line is hitting a little too close to home for me. I get to for my cancer screening on Thurs and Fri. Then a fun filled weekend of ????’s and waiting. FuFu!

Life can be depressing. I remember reading For Better or For Worse when Elly’s mother died. Seeing comic characters have human issue and dilemmas makes them all the more realistic. If you want laughs without real life, go read Peanuts.
