    Video games have changed a lot since the original ‘Pong’, that etched itself onto TV screens phosphor, was released in 1972.

    Something similar happened to me when I tried to play with one of my kids a few years ago.

    My kids thought I was good at everything. Then they invited me to play Super Mario Brothers with them. It took me until their mid-twenties to get their full respect back. (kidding. sort of.)

    I write software.
    I hate computer games.
    When my kids showed me their games, my inclination was to test the limit, not play the game.
    “Aces of the Pacific” WWII dogfights & bombing raids:
    My greatest achievement was to park a B17 with a palm tree growing through it’s wing.

    My children play similar game. They built houses and have farm animals. I think it looks boring but they love it.

    Back when the censors were trying to get warnings on almost all games, someone suggested that Sims City should have a warning: Danger, could cause interest in urban planning.
