That’s impressive, that the kid still cares about his education when his parents don’t.

When my son was in Boy Scouts there was one scout that had the same problem. So sad.

One day soon (much, much sooner than you could ever imagine) you will get to vote on which nursing home your dad gets to live in.

Really? Who says he’s doing school work. Don’t forget these kids live in SocialNetworkville…trust me, my son built a whole life in cyberspace…we blocked him at every hand..he even lied to a neighbor to get her password for her wi-fi…smh.

This is not a problem at all. If this kid has food to eat, clothes on his back and a roof over his head, he’s fine. My mother cut the rations, the clothing expenses and locked the door to my brother and I to finance a dash from home. The old man ate at restaurants during work, so he didn’t care. And we didn’t get a vote. And no one asked or noticed, except to laugh at us, or to set us for blame for their broken windows in the neighborhood.

It was a bad decision on my dad’s part, paying for those 2 big picture windows and some smaller windows we had nothing to do with. My mother who normally liked a good fight instead wanted the chaos that would hopefully get us taken away. She knew we didn’t do it. After the second picture window, we took to the woods and wandered around all day until we got old enough to defend ourselves.

Now that I think about it, I should have been a Park Naturalist. I’ve seen more a lot more animals in the woods without really trying than most of them have on the job.
