We’ve all been through this. In fact we go through it every day. We all know how tough, but also funny, it can be, as we move through life’s situations if we take our knocks with good humor. And we know also how very rewarding it can be when we actually occasionally get things right.

I think Claire just needs to stop “helping”.

It’s best to not show Paul that e-mail. He could be pretty needy by now with the lack of physical affection. I mean look at that football player everyone is laughing at if you want to see how these things can spin out.

Just look at how far apart they are sitting. I’m not saying there aren’t couples like this. Of course there are – but usually they are a lot older. In any case, this isn’t the ideal.

People no longer understand this, but in the olden days, not even that long ago actually, girls commonly had close “friendships” where curiosities were explored and sated. Doing this would get certain feelings out of their system. Then when the young woman found a young man they were able to proceed in the relationship with the proper verve, spirit and enthusiasm for each other. Now, in this age of technology, judgement is skewed and normal feelings are stigmatized and bottled up, creating havoc.
