The step into adulthood is a scary one. So much is new, unfamiliar, frightening, incomprehensible. Claire has just taken this step. She’s moved from her parents’ to her own apartment, to start life as an "adult". Armed with a good heart and an optimistic spirit, her challenge is she still has so much to learn about life: the nuts and bolts of managing a job, a home, how people interact, relationships, planning for her future, and so much more.
We’ve all been through this. In fact we go through it every day. We all know how tough, but also funny, it can be, as we move through life’s situations if we take our knocks with good humor. And we know also how very rewarding it can be when we actually occasionally get things right.

Be grateful this happens mostly around the holidays in the western world - China is ALWAYS like this!

One of my favorite commercials is this poor middle-aged woman who is obviously exhausted going from store to store waiting in endlessly long lines at cashiers, amd the background music is cheerily playing “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”

This is why I avoid the mall as much as possible during the holidays, especially black Friday!!
