Ollie and Quentin is a buddy comic about the unlikely friendship between a seagull and an adventurous lugworm. They treat us to their bird's eye and worm's eye views of the bizarre human world in which we live. Ollie and Quentin are best friends despite the obvious food chain disparity that suggests Ollie should be more interested in Quentin as a snack rather than as a friend. They both live in the pretty coastal town of Bigley Bay with Nobby, an affable single guy who serves as both foil and witness to their silly, mischievous high jinks.

You do appear to have the time to play along, Quentin.

At least he didn’t pick Cumulo-Fracto-Nimbus.

Perhaps when it changes shape again, he’ll fall through the hole and glide clumsily to earth – miles away from where he was launched.

If I remember right he could jump, open his mouth and float down like a parachute.

Rock a bye lugworm on the cloud top
When the wind blows, the vapour will rock
When the cloud breaks the weather will fall
and down will come lugworm, airplane and all.

“I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now,
And feel that I will have a cow,
If he keeps morphing shapes today
And asks me just to play…”
