Ollie and Quentin is a buddy comic about the unlikely friendship between a seagull and an adventurous lugworm. They treat us to their bird's eye and worm's eye views of the bizarre human world in which we live. Ollie and Quentin are best friends despite the obvious food chain disparity that suggests Ollie should be more interested in Quentin as a snack rather than as a friend. They both live in the pretty coastal town of Bigley Bay with Nobby, an affable single guy who serves as both foil and witness to their silly, mischievous high jinks.

It’s a good ‘toon Plods. I’ve been a fan since it first debuted with King Features a few years ago.

His name’s Nobby. He did appear in the second comic but you’re right, I didn’t introduce him properly. He’s the guy Ollie and Quentin live with. Over on the right you’ll see a little more info about my comic.

My mother told a story about me when I was 3 yr old. In 1944 she set me at the soda counter at Woolworth Five & Dime while she stepped a few feet away to pay the utility bills (you could do that during WWII). When she came back I was chewing gum. “Where did you get gum?”, she asked. Calmly I replied, “You want some? There is more here under the counter.”
