Break down the word politics and then you can understand how Washington works. “Poly” is from the Greek language meaning “many”. “Tics” are blood sucking parasites.

Lately I’ve had a desire to design entryways for retail stores, though the regulations are quite an obstacle. I guess I need to get in touch with the Hobby-Lobby Lobby Hobby, Lobby!

I’ve said back from the time that teleconferencing began, they should close down DC entirely and all remain in home office where they can hear from constituents; it would at least make it more difficult for lobbyists (or even the president) to do a lot of arm twisting at once.
Enough politics! I just hope they don’t change anything so drastically that I lose the little I’ve saved for my last 1/4 century.

‘Vomitorium’ is actually the aisle actors (tigers, bears, gladiators, etc.) walk down to get to the stage. We still use that word for theater in the round – usually call them "voms’.
