Yeah, I’m with Danae on that one. “All in the same boat” is no consolation whatsoever when my internet goes out. And neither is “Deal with it.”

Those who remember being able to think without being connected will never fully understand the feeling of having the internet go down…..but I am learning.

Gotta love those cable repair guys. I’m sure they’ll be there any day now.

We recently switched from wireless to cable/wired with our
ISP. I was terminally fed up with wasting more time trying to
connect with the net than I spent doing any work or play.
Add the lousy streaming of youtube, start, stop, start, stop, start, STOP (“an error has occurred”). The service has improved about ten thousand million percent. I don’t suppose this is possible with notebooks, smartphones and
suchlike impedimenta that HAVE to be wireless, but it wrought marvels with the PC!

Maybe the Internet going out has something to with the power outage in New Adventures of Queen Victoria.

But PC’s are SO LAST DECADE! And who needs a phone that’s hooked up to a wire, never “drops” a call, doesn’t “Butt” dial and do a few dozen other things poorly if you can’t carry it around glued to your head? Ain’t teknollidgy grand? We is so much less more dumber be cawse of it.

Danae, would you nicely, nicely please sit down, you’re rocking the boat!

Love it – the newspapers are the classics now. Hate it – it dates me.

    Re: “epic crisis”
    Mr. Miller,
I sincerely hope that you have a toon in the pipeline that unleashes your wit on the overuse of the adjective “epic”. It doesn’t have to include bears, but I can see how Anoesis might play a role.

Those of you who live in real cities take your internet access for granted. In this small town where I live, we are constantly experiencing mysterious and unexplained outages and slow-downs which Century Link is incapable of explaining. All we get is, “We’re aware of an outage in your area.”

I was going to make a comment, but my internet is out.

The times I’ve gone to work without my cell phone, and felt vaguely uncomfortable without it make me laugh at myself. I spent fifty years without a cell phone, and everything was fine.

I think Bob or Doug would say tough booger nuggets, or something to that effect.

About a year ago, my internet service was out for three days. Took forever to get caught up on my comic strips. Wow, talk about your first world problems.
