Never a good way to start a new morning. But, the MBA books all recommend taking an aggressive lead and demanding upfront at least 3 weeks paid vacation and an early dismissal bonus clause in the contract.

Economic enslavement is alive and well in the USA and apparently legal. All you have to do is borrow money from a business that isn’t a bank. The interest fees will make you a pauper very fast.

    Really, NG?
After something as well done as today’s strip, you spit up a weak “economic enslavement” line. Pathetic.

Homer was also a slave of some vikings, as I recall. Homer’s lives never really seem to end well. Of course part of that is the nature of life back then, short and brutish…

Roman citizens were not to be slaves. All others were fair game. Some were well treated, but most were not. An educated Greek was highly prized and well treated. Jews had slaves, but they were well treated. And they had a predetermined manumission date.
