    They’re my leaves… I bag or not bag as I see fit. Screw the neighbors.

    Gonna’ try this on my neighbor… he can have back all the Sand, Grassy Bits and Chopped up Rubbish he blew into my yard yesterday. (spring here, no leaves, but just as much c**p)

    We rake/blow them to the curb and the city comes and sucks them up

    @poppy1313

    Our neighbor across the street blows them into the middle of the road. I wonder if he knows that is against local ordinance?

    By the way, around here to the curb is okay, but in the gutter isn’t.

    I rake them in a pile, then vacuum them up with my leaf blower/vac combo. Then dump them in my compost barrel. Come next year I’ve got barrels full of good black humus for my garden.

    @Leslie Barks

    A sad waste of a good resource, to let them get away.
    Not to mention all the lovely rodent droppings and pesticide residue blown into neighbors’ windows.
    All leaf blowers (I call them “Somebody Else’s Problem Generators”) should be turned around to vacuum up the goodies, as Leslie says. Too good to throw away!

    One reason why most people couldn’t compost all their leaves.
    For the leaves we do compost, I run over the pile with my lawnmower. Leaf crumbs decompose faster.

    Glad you spelled humus correctly. I’ve never had good black hummus!

    More than once I’ve read that it’s good to chop up leaves with the lawnmower. So that’s what I do.
