Non Sequitur is Wiley Miller's wry look at the absurdities of everyday life. A hit with fans of all ages, the strip is syndicated in more than 700 newspapers. Non Sequitur has received four National Cartoonists Society divisional awards, the most prestigious in cartooning. It is the only comic strip to win the coveted award in its first year of syndication and the only one to ever win in both the best comic strip and best comic panel categories.

I see…this is like the levees in New Orleans that millions WERE appropriated for by Congress, but it was diddled with by the Democrats in Louisiana, and allowed the old levees to fail. Is THAT what Wiley’s talking about? THAT Congress?

Term Limits:
Vote the Bums Out!!!

IRL, half the members of Congress want to fix the dam, and the other half are preventing it from happening because it might possibly require rich people to help pay for it. None of THEM downstream, so no big deal, right?

Then when you press them for answers after the tragedy, they’ll tell you “It’s water over the dam now”.

No matter who you vote for, the government always gets in.

Just voting the bums out doesn’t work. One, you have to convince all the low-IQ voters to vote appropriately. Two, you just get new bums in. Instead …..
I think we need to change all the term limit and Congressional retirement laws to better address our deep-felt feelings about the job our congresspeople do. Instead of term limits or retirement per se, if a congressman is elected to 2 terms, rather than prohibit him running again, execute him. And no peaceful lethal injection; push him off the Washington Monument. This penalty does not apply for anyone serving only one term. Their ‘retirement’ is getting to live.
I bet congressmen would think twice about their ‘service’ to the country. AND it’d save a fortune on the congressional retirement scam.

But don’t they have to have an exploratory group to suggest recommendations for the makeup of the steering group to oversee the formation of the panel to set rules for the formation of the oversight group to plan the makeup of the dam collapse committee?
Meanwhile, people downstream are drowning…
But hey, none of the committee are from that district, so what do they care?

Our heros actions are to do nothing and just impede the wheels of goverment. He might not get reelected, but he served his bosses well. He can live with the fact that the people he was sent to represent got nothing in return. Like always, there will be a line to fill his boots.
