Rossonieri: Wahld is world (Welt) in the so-called “downeaster” dialect of english spoken in parts of New England (Maine, parts of New Hampshire and Massachusetts)
Hee, hee! some comeuppance for Danae…

“Monkey God of Mars!” Wasn’t that Edgar Rice Burroughs’ lost team-up between Tarzan and John Carter?

real people or multiple personalities, go into a store or mall and see if you can’t find some characters.

Deshalb - “Deah” = “Dear” (Liebchen), “Wahld” = “World”(Welt), “Ayuh”=”Yeah” (Ja), usw. Ich finde es ziemlich Charmant.

Today’s Lio dovetails nicely with this story. I wonder if that was intentional…

I worked in telemarketing for 4 years in another life (before retirement) and without fail I would come out of there every day speaking whatever dialect I was calling that day most…ie Yooper,Noreaster (Captin Eddie) New Yawker….what ever needless to say I was very confused for 4 years…now I’m only mildly confused

Timhewitt, JonD17, I’d love to read that book! I wonder if he ever thought about that idea. All I know is Burroughs didn’t live long enough. He still had so many planets and moons to populate…

This comic strip is called “Non Sequitur,” two Latin words which mean “does not follow.” This comic strip does not follow real life.
Since Captain Eddie (ie not y) tells impossible tall tales, he is Danae’s role model.
