And maybe the old bird is just doing them a favor and carrying their space craft for them.

I wonder if Danae’s dreaming all of this.

The motion carries, (as quickly as possible away from the big scary bird)…

In the direction away from the BFB would be a good plan ‘B’, but in the craft the homing signal is going so Lars can find them, does present a problem, I’ll bet Cap’n Eddie did not make the same error.

Cap’n Eddie would just throw it a couple of lobstas.

sanger11, that isn’t a Roc–it’s a Gastornis (which couldn’t fly, unlike the Roc)
Cap’n Eddie certainly wouldn’t have made the mistake of trying to set homing signal–he doesn’t believe in hitech stuff, and it’s a good question if he even believes in lotech navigational skills–wicky.

H’mmmm…this reminds me of the “Ordinary Basil” that took place on Helios. I wonder if Jeffrey and Danae will run into the same charactors??

Looks like a dodo bird to me.
prasrinivara said, 4 months ago
More like a South Island adzebill (omnivorous 1-metre-tall flightless bird extirpated by Maori, along with its somewhat-smaller North Island counterpart) than a dodo (vegetarian), cleo.
I still will claim it’s a Gastornis though, due to its sheer size.

This is funny - Monty has aliens drinking, and Non Seq has the characters on an Alien planet … L How many other comics will have Aliens at the same time?

i, too, thought it was a dodo. but then, prehistoric birds are not my area of expertise. i’ve never heard of a Gastornis, but will google it later.
prasrinivara said, 4 months ago
yyyguy, Gastornis was originally termed Diatryma. This genus is the type of bird referenced in Pierce Anthony’s Orn.

Homing signal….why? in a couple hours a decent dog with a good nose will be able to find that ship…Hey Petey…. Here boy! aww shucks he just ran the other way…wonder why?

Haha, at first I thought “tie-breaking vote” refered to the debate whether dinosaurs evolved from birds or not…. But last time I checked there wasn’t anymore debate about that anyway…..except from the creationists…..rolls eyes

The dodo isn’t pre-historic, just extinct. It died out after it was writen about. As opposed to the mamoth wich died out because they taste good before anyone could write a recipe.
