cleokaya, I really feel for your neighbors (unless you’re really Vigo Mortensen).

Is it just me, or does having to cut the grass suck?
prasrinivara said, 4 months ago
Not only you Dracip; cutting grass generally sucks unless:

Looks like my yard. And that’s my wife with the parka.

Too bad the grass isn’t already tall again right behind him…..Although I can think of a lot worse (snow & shovel anyone???) I can also see where especially to the urban types this would seem pretty horrible. Glad Cleo doesn’t live near us…… the bugs would eat him in places he’d much rather they didn’t!

I recall a very similar Non Sequitur about a dozen years ago: A naked man stands at a push mower while the devil points to an endless field of knee high grass. The caption was, IIRC, “A pretty good concept of hell.”
GuntotingLiberal said, 4 months ago
IMO he’s lucky he’s got a mower instead of a pair of scissors. And if it were Canada, it could be blackfly season. You can better believe he’d be happy for that parka then :)

@NoBrandName:
By your comments on the 4th, are you equating us with monkeys? Or was it your way of saying that monkeys could in no way understand the depth of what shakespeare wrote, but could accidentally type it?
There was depth in what I posted on the fourth that a donkey might find before an elephant, but a monkey would just go back to picking bugs out of his fur.
That’s why only the athiest party could be represented by a monkey.

I always knew that ‘green lawnmowers’, nudity and no rain would be part of the direction Satan would lead point us.
But the parka…… that sure throws a pitchfork into the combine.
Oh, even Satan knows the scripture where it says ‘the sun will be darkened ‘- so the global warming scenario will go down the tubes.
Who gave Satan that coat? The guy probably had to hand it over to pay his carbon tax when he was happy using his electric mower.
penandra said, 4 months ago
…and this is why I took out my front lawn … I no longer even OWN a mower!

Put the sun lotion all over on naked man with 30-50 SPF!

I hear the grass is greener on the “other” side.
And all we gotta do is lay in it.
Definately my speed.

Ahh…. wearing a fur coat (or fur lined Parka) in the middle of a blazing hot day & preparing a picnic buffet without vegetables would be the perfect “special place” for those PeTA protesters!
BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!
(Sorry my “evil” side of humor got to me!) : )

Thoughts of ice rinks bring refreshment in light of the above comic.

Well THERE’S his problem. You should NEVER start mowing from the middle. Breaking such a fundamental rule of basic lawn care will surely get you sent to hell (or to your room if you’re living with your grandparents).

Ghost pony is right -
Always start mowing down from the far left side.

could the parka be a reference to Alaska, hence a commnet on Sarah Palin and her latest news?

Not unless Wiley is psychic. He (as do all cartoonists who create strips) writes a gag several weeks ahead of the time it appears.

The donkey would really have to search hard; I think something was lost in translation.
And I was in no way attempting to make a political or religious statement.
