Let’s see, what else was supposed to have happened? The one I remember the best was killer bees. Some guy my dad knows was claiming the economy was going to crash in April and there was going to be a war. It’s nearly June.

And besides, EJ, everyone knows the real date is December 21, 2012. Just ask the Mayan calender folks or the Nostradumbass crowd.

The far right guy - don’t know who he is but he looks like a voice crying in the wilderness - ‘make straight the paths and return to the leaves of torah’. Then the message of doom and gloom will become irrelevant to those who heed the message - ce la vie. Anyway, thats how I understand things .
To JML58: yup - thats what she heard. Sometimes things get lost in mid-air translation. Those who have ears, let them hear.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said but I’m sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I despise comments with speaking to comic’s characters… As well as with criticism at author’s address. What do you think, how do these fantastic and creative people feel when as response to their CREATION all they get is a passive-low-life-opinion such as “Oh Dana, you so stoopid” or “Dana should’ve considered this or that…” GET a LIFE! (and don’t suppress the creation, authors aren’t distant unknown mechanic machinery…)

The first scare I remember was the alarm over California’s impending sinking under the waters of the Pacific. There was a book which helped start the panic:

As any artist knows any time they put their creations out there are going to be people who don’t like it and will criticize it. The diversity of people’s tastes and ideas is what makes art possible. I’m sure Mr. Wiley has a tough enough skin to not let criticism hurt his tender feelings.
I know how that feels Jeffery, but you’re fighting a losing battle.

Danea would definitely fit in with the main-stream news media. Their reporting is about as accurate and unbiased.

And of course, because the news says a “scientist” said something, everyone will believe it.

Wiley….loving the line this week!!! SOOOOOO many analogies to be made but too many laughs to sort them all out!!!

I believe that this week’s series is based on an astronomical event that took place in August of 2003. Since then, I have received several forwards that indicate Mars will be 35 million miles from our planet again in August. Internet forwards never die! Don’t rush out and buy a telescope. See snopes.com.

With the imminent danger of collision, we must marshal our resources to avert this calamity. I purpose that we utilize our largest launch vehicle to fire it at the moon so that it will impact it at a precise angel that will send it spinning from it’s orbit, allowing it to collide with mars, thus pushing the red planet back into a safer orbit. If we apply the proper rotation on the moon it will return to it’s normal orbit after impacting Mars. Barring this I suggest sending every missile we have into the asteroid belt between Terra and Mars, disrupting said asteroids, sending them cascading into Mars, safely destroying it.

Now, vexatron1984, there should be a difference between disliking and criticizing. Quality criticism is above liking and disliking, it first of all requires one to understand. To be one step ahead. And then criticize, IF necessary, that is-if it may improve someone’s expression. The thing is-true criticizers keep their mouth shut most of the time, because they know how thin the line is between knowing something and guessing it by inertia. And low-life forms shout. Such as myself, I guess… Too much shallow thoughts. And of course Wiley Miller isn’t tender (it was you who said this) but I’m guessing he would appreciate a true criticism (if there was place for any) instead of…well, I don’t even know anymore. I’m through, I’m not writing anymore
