Okay, see if y’all follow me here,
    Knowledge is power, power corrupts.
We gain knowledge from watching the “TV News”.
Soooo by that extent, the TV news is corrupting the youth of this country.
So fight corruption by watching the Cartoon network.

But…they don’t show the old Warner Bros Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck etc. cartoons anymore. Those were the really good cartoons.

@LordDogmore: I get the age old saying “Knowledge is power” but in reality, I think it’s really the one who distributes knowledge who truly holds power.

You can be the smartest person in the world, it doesn’t mean people are going to listen to you.

He who is the most influencial has the most power. That’s where television media comes in. They hold great power in this nation.

However I think the cartoon itself is more poking fun at “Overseas Contingency Operations” than anything else.

I haven’t seen any news or information on “TV-news” for a long time now. CNN, NBC, FOX, you name it, they don’t do news, they spew opinions and read out emails, for their “news value”. Even BBC is stuping lower than I could have ever imagined.

The real issue is that no one presenting information to another is truly impartial. Some actually do try to be; others have a conscious agenda. But if only the facts were presented, the news would be so boring that no one would watch. The real issue is really two: 1: ratings, 2: trying (maybe unconsciously) to use one’s opportunity to influence others for what one personally defines as “good”. It’s unavoidable.

And no one will run Speedy Gonzales either. It’s funny that the corporate networks are afraid of accusations of racism, but I’ve seen lunch specials labeled “Speedy Gonzales” at many Mexican restaurants.

    • I haven’t watched a TV in 6 years, don’t miss it. I get what I need from GoComics, toons and editorial blips.

I think everyone’s overthinking this one.

She got the idea that euphemisms dictate reality from the ways they are used on the TV “news.”

On a lighter note, ayone else notice that Bob’s having a manly beer while the guy “chastising” him has a little umbrella in his drink?
