How about a kiss instead of a hug?
Lucy, take notes!

If it’s not wet and sloppy, it’s not a real kiss.

Can’t read, and wouldn’t believe, the stupid sign anyway (but I made one yesterday for my daughter’s door – just in case of extreme PMS!)

Pups don’t care if happy or sad they just want to be part of your life. Unconditionally. What is better than that?

AWWWWW! Unconditional love can work wonders :)

Poppy1313: Careful when you use “puppy” and “leak out” in the same sentence! LMAO

I think the lifting of her bad mood only applies to Petey; the moment Katie (or any other human) comes in, it’ll be back!

nice touch
I have a dog like that, when all else is bad, he is there with my happiness (and his) on his mind
Dracip said, 7 months ago
prasinivara: Yeah, I don’t think Danae would put up with Katie licking her nose….

Nothing like a slobbering kiss from a furry friend to quell a bad mood.

You can’t stay in a bad mood once a dog gives you a kiss! They instinctively know when their owners need a pick me up! :-)

Nothing like the love of a dog. My dog can lift me out of a funk like no one else. I think it’s because they expect so little in return.

Yesterday I was brought out of a bad mood by watching our bunny hop in and out of a video gamer rocking chair that my kids had been playing on.

– In case of extreme PMS you could be beheaded for putting up a sign like that. Better to approach with baked goods (brownies) and flowers. :)

I just had to put my 7yo Boxer, Samson, to sleep last night. Very hard. This comic couldn’t be more timely to remind me of how much I love and miss him. Thanks for this.

Nothing can soothe the the savage beast as another, most unlikely, savage beast. Comfort sometimes arrives from the most unexpected quarter. It’s nice to see that feeling still exists in this truly jaded world. Kudos, Mr. Miller!

It’s been 19 & 20 years since we put down our two beloved mutts. They were like our kids, we had them for 10 years before we even had kids! I still miss them both like CRAZY!! They were the best dogs in the world! And it will be 1 year this Monday that my sweet kitty (my avatar) died in my arms at the age of 16 years and 4 days.
Yes, I know your pain and I’m sorry!
Burgundy2 said, 7 months ago
Freshyseth, I am so sorry about Samson. Boxers are such lovely dogs.
I’ve always had canine friends, and I know it’s never easy losing them. But the receiving (and giving) of unconditional love makes it all worth while.

We’ve had to put two cats to sleep and give up to kittens for adoption. What terrible experiences. I’ve never had a dog myself, only cats (we’re more cat people than dog people in my family), but I really understand how the dog could cheer Dane up.

Freshyseth, so sorry. It’s very tough to put a pet down. I had to do the same thing with my dog Kaya a few years ago. You can tell by my gocomics name that she’s still in my thoughts. The best thing that happened to me on the day I put her down was when I told a friend that I had a difficult time deciding to end her life, he replied “I wish I had the option of deciding when I’ve suffered enough with pain and could make the same decision about my own life”. Hang in there.
