Why wait for the revolution to put them up against the wall?

That’s logical - in a creepy, icky sort of way.

No just the lawyers. Slowly over an open pit fire. Just enough Alovera lotion to keep them alive for a while longer.

Not all lawyers are bad, just the ones that are breathing.

I’m told “lawyer” is Latin for “liar”.
Good one, Wiley.

Lawyers are loathsome parasitic scum…
until you need them.

Not all lawyers are bad. It’s just that 99% of them give the rest a bad reputation.

Ever been at a party with a bunch of lawyers? OMG! It’s one jerk trying to outjerk the other one.

Yeah yeah, poke fun all you want, but when the Police knock on the door, who do you phone? A cartoonist?
And remember there are far more CLIENTS (aka the people who like lawyer jokes) filing silly lawsuits than LAWYERS – and for every lawyer who files one of those stupid suits, there are at least a dozen who’ve said ‘no way’ before, but none of that is funny …
So poke fun all you want, people will continue to do stupid things, and that, my friends, is just another way to say ‘lawyer job security’ …. :)

First, I’m not a lawyer. The most often quoted Shakespeare line is the one about, “First thing we do is kill all the lawyers”. What almost no one knows is that the speaker of that line, a character called Dick the Butcher, is discussing with his friend Jack Cade about overthrowing the king and installing a tyranny where everyone would “worship me their lord”. It was “The Law” that stood between the people and the absolute power of big govt. and the lawyers who upheld that law. Just like today.

Exactly, Logicman. Nail on the proverbial head.
It also lends endless fodder for satire.

There’s a special ring in Hell for the lawyers who help undeserving people get rich from suing people, and for those lawyers who appear to be getting justice for victims while making themselves rich.
I know some lawyers that I respect, but it’s an accurate statement that 99% of lawyers give the rest a bad reputation.
