Might be a LITTLE bit extreme; but what the heck, go for it.

Except that what *really* happens is that the Suits send the workers over the cliff (layoffs, firings) while, as jml58 points out, they have their golden parachutes to cushion the fall – or they get jobs as “consultants” through the Old Boy’s Network. Forget consequences, they’ve got money!

I hope they’re composting down below, that way it would also be a ‘green’ solution…

How about “What they already did to themselves, so just let it be.” Changes of ownership mean new jobs with new bosses, and the new managements are much more apt to realize they better do their jobs right. Money in the bank with a poor social reputation generally means divorce plus children going bonkers.. kind of like the Kennedy young male who was passing a football to a friend on the ski slopes when he forgot trees won’t move the way other humans usually will; his brains all over the ski slope is a lesson the Kennedy clan has presented the world on how not to have children who succeed. Good ethics tend to work, even for those who don’t believe in the Creator as the omnipotent god.

I just wish it was this easy!!!! The other problem is that at the present rate of handout-seekers, the canyon would eventually fill, leaving one lucky corporation to get their wish, leading to many more searching for their share.

Those who live by hoarding die by the hoard?
krazyjeff54- maybe what we don’t see is the ocean below so they would never pile up but drift away aimlessly (like the rest of us- no parachute or lifeboat).
