I’m making a list of creators on gocomics (in no particular order) that take the time to answer reader questions or make comments on their own comics. Here’s my list so far. Did I miss anybody?
    Pibgorn (Brooke McEldowney)
    Bob the Squirrel (Frank Page)
    Frog Applause (Teresa Dowlatshahi)
    Cleats (Bill Hinds)
    Eek (Scott Nickel)
    Non Sequitur (Wiley Miller)

Now we need a scene where the victim sues the insurance company for unsafe doors … but that would mix up the heroes and villains in this series.

Wiley is a funny cartoonist but he has the common prejudice that businessmen are inherently dishonest. As evidence of how wide-spread that socialist libel is, consider the first two comments here.

Are there dishonest businessmen? Of course. And dishonest cartoonists too. And dishonest everybodies as well. But that doesn’t make businessmen, cartoonists, or everybody dishonest.

No, not all businessmen are dishonest. But big business is a system in which dishonesty of a certain sort is an evolutionarily favored characteristic.

I’m sure there are honest and compassionate people in the health insurance industry. But they don’t rise to the level of making policy decisions for companies like “Monolith Insurance”, because such companies are about maximizing profits, not about doing what’s right for their subscribers.
