An intelligent, thoughtful, non-reactionary, ethical man is vilified from a socialised mob-rule world view. Hmmm…. let’s think if their are any historical precedents?

The Traitor! Needs a bullet in the back of his head. But he is Putin’s play thing now. And Putin loves making the USA look weak and helpless!

I am always amazed at the simplistic view of the world people have. The Internet provided a simple way for spies, terrorists and criminals to communicate and coordinate their activities. 911 was an example of how they used it. We asked the Government to protect us and they figured out a way to identify the underground networks of those trying to harm us Snowden did cost us hundreds of millions of dollars and he did commit an act of treason.History and the law will judge Snowden. Remember, the Internet is public. Anything you put on line is in the public domain and expecting privacy is a pipe dream. I am sure the US government isn’t the only one doing this kind of thing.

@CCNJ's say the sky is falling

Putin already answered that question when he gave Snowden a one-year non-renewable visa on 1 August 2013. Snowden has less than six months before he has to leave Russia.

And the EU has promised the US that all the airspace surrounding Russia will be closed to non-stop flights, so, when Snowden leaves, the EU will force his plane down, arrest him, and deport him back to the US, since the EU has expressed unreserved gratitude to the US for keeping close tabs on all EU communications.

Not only has the US stopped many terrorist attacks on the EU (all classified Top Secret, so no details, but we can trust the US government that they’ve saved millions of EU lives) but EU leaders are really grateful that, if they forget something, they can ask the NSA and the GCHQ what it was they said and/or were supposed to remember.

Oh. And when was the last time we could trust the US government? Some time before Richard Nixon? A long time…

Mr. Snowden deserves the Medal of Freedom and the gratitude of a country to which democracy has been restored. Be nice to live in one like that.

It is fortunate that the US has the world’s freest, most truthful press, which stands unanimously ready to inform every patriotic US voter that Snowden is not only a traitor for the Soviets, but he had himself videotaped in front of the old, now obsolete US Constitution which had some silly Amendments dating back to the 18th century. What gall. Snowden is a traitor who has violated every single article of the new, much improved 21st century US Constitution: the US government, and ONLY the US government, knows what is right, and the rabble had better go along with it. Anyone who crosses the US government in any way, shape, form or fashion is a heinous traitor, since the US is a nation of the government by the government and for the government, and has been since at least two score and seven years ago. And may anyone who dares cross the US government perish from this earth.

“A new kind of terrorist – the whistle blower! What’s wrong with this picture?”

What’s wrong is that some people actually think a whistle blower is a terrorist.
