    Not ready for prime time; yes. Is it as serious as “fight the war with the army you’ve got”, even though you didn’t give them the weapons they needed? Just a thought on comparative damage potential.

    The most interesting rumor is that it was changed a few times. Why? Because originally you could window shop, then compare, Then fill out and buy. but the prices are so bad that someone high up put a stop to it.
    But this is a very good strip. I hear there was a test to see if 1000 could log on and it failed after 100 logged on.
    but hey Obama.. who had nothing to do with this, yeh right, but Obama is very very mad. And when he is mad he gets his way and it will be “fixed” And once it is “fixed” it will be the price that brings it down.
    Oh course Obama is already blaming all this on the shut down and the republicans. Of course your adv man on the street who voted Obama thinks it is GW fault

    “fight the war with the army you’ve got”

    I’ve seen a few articles taking about a ‘tech surge’ to fix Healthcare.gov. An unfortunate choice, given the lack of success the military surges brought.

    That still doesn’t matter in the discussion of whether bringing insurance coverage to those who have none is worthwhile. Maybe I’m out on a limb, but I suspect that most of the people who are opposed to the ACA, are probably also “pro-life”.

    Anyone care to explain why we need to protect the unborn, but let the already born wait for care till they are so sick that they turn up at the ER?

    As a fiscally frugal liberal, it seems like a poor way of managing costs.

    I keep asking, ‘What are people really seeing when they get on to the healthcare.gov website?’

    Hannity interviewed three who said it was too expensive for them to afford. Lots of sites report that all three were liars, as CNN reported (I was watching CNN on TV, so no link; but if one Googles ‘obamacare fox liars’ one gets LOT of hits).

    ConserveGov wrote that a friend found it too expensive, gave hard numbers, and was called a liar. Someone wrote that, for the first time, he could get affordable care, but no numbers, no details.

    Today, the New York Times asked people what they found when they logged on to healthcare.gov, and most said, ’It’s great that now we have affordable care, and a few minor problems were to be expected, but it’s well worth it.’ In other words, they hadn’t bothered to look, but they agree with the New York Times that the ACA is great.

    I found just three comments (this morning) who said they had actually gotten ACA plans, and all said tthe ACA will save them almost $1,000 a month and give them access to more doctors and hospitals than they had with their pre-ACA insurance policies. But comments only get onto the New York Times if they’re approved by the comments editor, so there might be some other comments placed down on the 10th page of comments where no one will see them.

    So I repeat my question: has anyone gotten on to the ACA website, seen available policies, and will please post hard numbers so we can have a reasonable idea?

    (In Texas, I tried healthcare.gov/texas, and was re-directed to the private ehealth website, which said there were no plans available for me in my zipcode, or within driving distance of my zipcode.)

    Want to make a bet that the IRS has the right stuff? That the IRS is not unprepared to collect. That is unless you got one of the many wavers. Or Obama illegally decides to suspend the personal tax/penalty just like he did for employers.

    You guys are all straining so hard to put lipstick on this pig you’re going to give yourselves hernias. Jon Stewart and his late night cohorts have already beaten it senseless and they are hardly conservative. Obama tried hard for single payer, failed and so he set up ACA as a vehicle to ultimately accomplish that.

    It’s absolutely ridiculous that we don’t already have health care, as far back as Nixon they tried to start a national plan and (shock and surprise) Teddy Kennedy killed the plan. With the absurd amount of money we spend on the military we should have Cadillac health care for everyone.

    @Harleyquinn

    What Obama did to delay the penalties for employees wasn’t illegal, of course, and affects almost no one. The ACA is becoming MORE popular, according to four different polls by four different organizations. So you’ll have to try harder to spread more convincing lies, Harley. So far, it’s apparently not working.

    @Uncle Joe

    What most who favor the ACA ignore is that our country is trying to crawl out of the worst recession since The Depression. Making health care available to the uninsured is a noble goal, to put it on the back of the people that have suffered most in this recession not so much. If this “recovery” were anything but anemic, perhaps it would be worth pursing, but the ACA is hitting the middle class while they (we) are down.

    So you think it is alright for a president to suspend and wave certain parts of his law to just certain people? Really The law of the land except for these few?
    “and affects almost no one” Then why did he do it? Nothing to do with the 2014 election and the U6 unemployment being 12%?
    “The ACA is becoming MORE popular,”???
    Now I know you have been drinking this early in the morning. HOW? The site has been down for the last 2 days and it has been broken since day 1! And you are saying it is getting popular? HOW? A name tested poll of voters who only get their information from lame stream? More Statically bought Lies? Please post a link.

    The site worked fine for me even though the statistics said not a single person had signed in from Alaska.
    .
    The fully functioning site scrolled smoothly and went where ever I clicked without delay.
    Unfortunately all it wanted was my email address. I wanted to give my name and other information I considered relevant but no, email only and watch for incoming.
    I will not return, WTF?
