    Sounds good to me.
Most people don’t want a massive takeover of healthcare.

Now that the government is going to use taxpayer money to pay for people’s health insurance, just bend over and get ready. I’m not talking about a prostate check either, because that’s going to take over a year to get a Dr appointment for.
I’m talking about a massive intrusion into your personal life and a ton of new taxes and fees. Yay!

So if you have to pay somewhat higher taxes to help some 50 million of your fellow working poor Americans (including their children) get reasonable health care and thus avoid pain, suffering, and even death, it just is not worth it to you?
Such compassion that people like yourself exhibit in a supposedly Christian nation is just astounding. So yes, yeah!!

Repealing the PPACA in the present Congress is an exercise in stupidity and futility. Somebody needs to tell the House that the Senate is Democratic and the President is a Democrat. Whoever does needs to have them repeat it back to insure that this time they get the message.

Government isn’t the problem; government run by Republicans is.

They’ll definitely need to keep repeating it. The House is like an Alzheimer patient sometimes.

They wan be be on re record as being against this(the largest tax ever imposed in human history), so when it ails they can say……“I told you so”. Besides, every poll says that the people aren’t for this act. Shame, really, had they done it right, perhaps it could have worked. Something this large and complicated must be ha handled almost perfectly and no one can say tis thing was done properly.

I will not depend on most liberals or conservatives on the GC forums to teach me truth or facts. They go to political talking point sites that have an agenda that agrees with their prejudices.

Most people already have health insurance. The poor have Medicaid and the elderly have Medicare. Even people who work at McDonalds can get health insurance.

Some people CHOOSE not to buy it. That is(was) their right.

I know many young people who are just going to pay the forced Communist Tax of a hundred bucks and not carry it.
I’m sure eventually Democrats will put these people in jail for not following orders.

I agree obama care will add 5 more days to tax freedom day. So that means (depends on what numbers you believe but most of them are the end of april) you can be working till may to pay you taxes.Which is 33% of anything you earn goes for taxes.

those poor new guys—there are so many things that they didn’t get to vote on before they were elected—like medicare, civil rights, the 2 current wars, desegregation of our public schools—their work is cut out for them. Where does boehner’s logic come from?

It is ironic to consider that had Mr. Romney won in 2008, “Romney Care” would have been a Republican plan. I also believe that Dems would have been on board with the plan since it does do something the Democrats want done, provide healthcare to more Americans.
We are already paying a healthcare tax whenever a person who can’t afford medical services goes to the emergency room. Just as 15% of our grocery and clothing price go to pay for items shoplifted from stores, we are paying more than 15% for those individuals who are getting medical care for which they have no money to pay. Hospitals are so tasked, some have resorted to dropping people off on the curbside or even giving them a bus ticket to another city with more medical space available.
Obama care is not the best product that could have been created. Mr. Obama himself says so. However, the conservatives are unwilling to come to the table to find a real solution to this matter as they are afraid of doing ANYTHING that makes this President look like he might be doing his job.
Americans need affordable healthcare. There are examples of specific hospitals and other countries that have found a way to make it happen for the people coming to them. As long as lobbyists and people who are motivated by greed get to set the agenda, Americans will continue to decline in health, continue to pay too much, and continue to be divided by the very people causing the pain… Congress.

Sour grapes and sore losers…against democracy.

“Obamacare” was approved by House, Senate, POTUS, SCOTUS, and the American public (2012 election). Work to improve it or on something meaningful instead of wasting time.

Evidence that “Obama-Care” was rammed thru against the will of the people.
