Nick Anderson of the Houston Chronicle is an avowed independent who covers politics and contemporary cultural issues in a way that connects with readers. His loose, idiosyncratic style carries with it an unconventional message that has broad appeal. "I approach my work with a healthy skepticism for the ideological extremists littering our political landscape," explains Anderson.

Is that why FOX is the number one watched news show?

I always thought it was the tarted up women in short dresses, long (usually) blonde hair, and … well, you get the idea. But it isn’t journalism.

Watching FOX news is like watching a train wreck in slow motion—ugly, but fascinating! Seriously, they argued the latest Muppet movie was socialist propaganda, because the villain was a businessman who wanted to destroy the old Muppet studios for the oil (supposedly) underneath it! It’s a Muppet movie, for crying out loud! What sort of a villain did they think it could have? A crystal meth dealer?

Fox may well be the most entertaining – there is a big difference between that and telling the truth, the whole truth and only the truth.
For these, watch PBS and or Cspan.I think most of us prefer the "entertainment to the truth.

Yep, again, FOX news is number 1 in viewers. Entertaining and educational. The station that doesn’t bow to the president like he bows to foreign dictators.

A new badge of honor to proudly wear! A liberal complimenting me. It’s been a while.

Good for you! PBS is a good liberal financed opinion organization. The do talk slowly, use short words and lots of pictures. Keep watching them, they need all the viewers they can get.

No, it’s just that Rednecks have trouble accepting reality and prefer a comfortable fantasy in which to live.
Here’s the issue: Some people can either accept the fact that they are useless losers in life or they can believe their hopeless existence is due to some evil liberal elitist government taking away their freedoms. Guess which the Rednecks choose.

Check Newshounds.us (“We watch Fox News so you don’t have to”) and ‘Crooks and Liars’ for info on the latest screeds from Fox. As the de facto media source for the right wing, it’s my opinion that Fox News has been the number one reason for the political divisiveness that has resulted in the disastrous policy decisions of the Republican Party.

@Zuhlamon
Things are politically divisive for several reasons. The biggest one is the narcissist in chief occupying the White House chipping away at America’s Constitutional liberty a as each day goes by. Libs stand by and let’s it happen. Republicans strive to prevent Obama from getting away with it.
