Nick Anderson of the Houston Chronicle is an avowed independent who covers politics and contemporary cultural issues in a way that connects with readers. His loose, idiosyncratic style carries with it an unconventional message that has broad appeal. "I approach my work with a healthy skepticism for the ideological extremists littering our political landscape," explains Anderson.

Where’s Susan Rice we you need her?

Unlike Bush’s cabinet. It was full of women and blacks. Maybe O is just filling his cabinet with the most qualified people and he believes women are not qualified to spend America into socialism?

“Spend America into socialism”— unlike the Republicans, who will cut taxes into feudalism.

He’s a lame duck. Now he’s going to stop listening to his advisers, and do what he wants.

Yes, and God help us, we’re not going to like “what he wants”. I fail to understand how the man got re-elected. Only because the 47% didn’t want to lose their unemployment & food stamps and free cell phone, etc., etc., and another couple % are wanting to push the country into socialism. It is going to be a long, long four years!

Maybe if Mittens and PR gave actual numbers for how they’d balance the budget, they’d have had a chance. Hint: you lose credibility when the “budget hawk” can’t explain his numbers.

^ Actually, he was re-elected because a majority of Americans wanted him back.

Well, Doc you could say that he was re-elected because he was successful in painting such a dark and evil picture of his opponent that no one wanted the other guy and so…….

You know, considering his first Cabinet, and the fact that he is indeed black, the Obama administration has been pretty diverse.

@Ms. Ima
Overall, Obama’s first term cabinet was more diverse than G.W. Bush’s. cabinets. White males made up 52% of Bush’s cabinet, but only 43% of Obama’s.
Bush did have a more diverse cabinet than his predecessors, & had very high profile members in Colin Powell & Condoleeza Rice. Obama has an image problem with Hillary Clinton’s departure.
Since Susan Rice was clearly unacceptable to you, who besides John Kerry was talked about in conservative circles as Clinton’s replacement?
