Nick Anderson of the Houston Chronicle is an avowed independent who covers politics and contemporary cultural issues in a way that connects with readers. His loose, idiosyncratic style carries with it an unconventional message that has broad appeal. "I approach my work with a healthy skepticism for the ideological extremists littering our political landscape," explains Anderson.

I agree. I wonder where they have been hiding.

This one… not so much.

Actually this toon is right on considering we now know that our Ambassador and other embassy workers warned of threats and asked for additional security but were denied by the White House.

So, American military and Secret Service have not been doing their job to your satisfaction. And, now your candidate, mittens, wants to leave the decision making in Afghanistan to the military. And, you are blaming the president for the attack on the embassy. I find your position to be contradictory. (So, what else is new?)

dozens of incidents/threats…June, July….several requests for more security….the State Dept. has jurisdiction and denied every request….the “security” at Benghazi was not US Marines, it was a foreign contractor….no ammo in weapons…
but no one is blaming Sec.State Clinton or her boss, Obama…?
-
there is other news reporting about the SOS for 37 Americans wanting to be rescued….the US Marines in western Libya sent a convoy of vehicles but was attacked and 2 more American servicemen died….Americans are being lied to by this administration and US media—-the liberal MSM…
www.americanthinker.com … 9/29/12 “Barack Obama’s Terrorist Attack Cover-up” by Sara Goss quoting Reuters 9/12/12 report by Alastair MacDonald….Capt. Fathi al-Obeidi of Libya Special Ops with US Marines….helicopter troops met “a fierce overnight ambush that left a further 2 Americans dead”….printed 3 pages.

““Barack Obama’s Terrorist Attack Cover-up” by Sara Goss quoting Reuters 9/12/12 "
.
You go to all the trouble to quote all this and give US no link…is that because there is none ?
This is not a Reuters story, it comes from the “American Thinker” is a daily conservative online magazine. This is Sara Goss’ blog not a news story…just another fraud committed by the Disgutingtaxpayer.

Yes, interesting. I m Subscribed to his cartoons but the last one I saw was September 18…what is going on there ? The same thing often happens to Sheneman’s cartoons also.

Where’s the 60 Minutes lead story or media outrage on this coverup? We all know what kind of hell would be raised if this happened 5 years ago. I give Anderson credit that despite being a left-wing cartoonist, he doesn’t just give a pass because it’s O holy one like most libs do on here.

It has to do with over a decade of placing security, and “other operations” in the hands of highly paid contractors, instead of our military, even in Iraq and Afghanistan.
It also points out that many “civil servants” are placed in very dangerous places, doing their jobs with little recognition, well, until something goes wrong, and the press gives them “15 minutes of fame”. It’ applies to cops, border patrol agents, Park Rangers, and folks working for Department of Agriculture as well as State Dept. around the world. We, by treaties, often cannot supply actual “military” in some of these nations. But, hey, right wing radio Blutos and media bloggers know all the answers, right??

The American Thinker post has a link to the story in question.
US diplomats, Marine rescue team were also attacked at safe house, Libyans say
The very next day, Reuters distributed another story also written by Alastair MacDonald.
“In Benghazi, the local protection for the U.S. consulate in Libya’s oil capital, fulfilling Libya’s obligations under the Vienna Conventions on diplomatic missions, was provided by an outfit known as the February 17 Brigade, a collection of young men with rifles proud of their exploits last year in chasing Gaddafi’s army west across the desert, aided by NATO bombers.
A second layer of official public order in Benghazi comes courtesy of Libya’s Shield, another paramilitary unit born in the revolution and drafted in, ad hoc, by the new leadership.”

I submitted a notification of the problem along with the suggestion of putting a notification of the past missed comics on the webpage if this happens in the future. We shall see how gocomics responds.

@Jase99
Did you read both articles in Disgutingtaxpayers post ? Sue Goss clearly did not get the gist of the reuters are article, other wise how did she come up with “The Marines then ran into an ambush when they tried to helicopter to the consulate location from across the Libyan desert.”
.
Where in Alastair MacDonald article does it say that ? He goes into detail about how they were helicoptered in and attacked at the safe house where the 37 others had taken refuge.
.
The “ran into an ambush when they tried to helicopter to the consulate” is a distortion at best and a deliberate falsifiction at worst as it NEVER HAPPENED. if you had been watching the news you would know the Marines were killed at the safe house.
.
If you want me to dumb it down for you, it goes like this: Reuters reports Mrs brown , a republican and government employee, was startled when the cat chased a mouse into the kitchen.
After Sue Goss gets the story it becomes " Government covers up assualt on republicans in their homes."

Sometimes I feel like strangling Gocomics, in that way that Homer Simpson uses with Bart. Soooo many good toons we had to wait so long for. And they have the GALL, the pure CHEEK to put the “correct” dates (i.e., when they got them) on them like nothing ever went wrong! But, well, it’s free of charge, so get down, Morty, DOWN I SAID! Good boy…
disgustedtaxpayer said, 8 months ago
Jeddidyah, you deliberately attack my original post where I put into my own words what I read in the Goss blog, where the writer quoted from a legitimate Reuters news report.
-
How else would the Reuters article be interpreted than the way I worded it? If you went to the American Thinker website and read the blog and its quotes from Reuter, quoting a Libyan Capt. al-Obeidi about his security force and the convoy of 10 pickups and sedans…accompanied by some US Marines in the attempt to get the 37 Americans at the safe house to take them to the airport for evacuation….as Libyan Deputy Interior Minister Wanis al-Sharif is quoted….
-
I post the truth as carefully as possible. If the truth in the Reuters reports are not what you wanted to hear, you attack my post and me for posting it. Not exactly nice of you, IMO.
