Nick Anderson of the Houston Chronicle is an avowed independent who covers politics and contemporary cultural issues in a way that connects with readers. His loose, idiosyncratic style carries with it an unconventional message that has broad appeal. "I approach my work with a healthy skepticism for the ideological extremists littering our political landscape," explains Anderson.

Let’s just hope that the administration’s hope for a coalition government in Afghanistan can be realized to some extent. It might help by generalizing the corruption to a broader (i.e., more democratic) base.

Well, I don’t know why we are so concerned about corruption elsewhere, when in our own country, the Libs can do it in plain view…

Yes BCS–but most media ignore when a Dem is involved. Rangel in NY, the cold cash dude in LA, Burris from CHGO etc., etc.

Overlooking the fact this is the partner hand picked by Condoleezza Rice! Too much time on the crack pipe has too many folks forgetting the removal of the Taliban was actually about a pipeline, not finding bin Laden. The Karzai brothers are a lot more like the Gotti family than the Bunkers.(as in Archie)

Howie, actually Rangel has gotten a lot of media attention. We probably agree that it seems to be taking a long time to investigate, but it is being investigated nonetheless. The media doesn’t ignore any charge of misdeeds by politician … go ahead, admit it, it’ll do your heart good to be honest. C’mon, you can do it!! Be honest.
