    Interesting.
While I think the action is accurate I think the expression on the elephant’s face is off.

From what I can tell the elephant doesn’t seem to notice what’s happened and may actually think its working.

You’ve already accepted her as qualified; what does that tell us?

puppy, I haven’t heard anyone other than Limblah or Newt claim she isn’t qualified

why do you believe she isn’t qualified?

Republicans spent 20 years claiming “Racism isn’t the problem, political correctness is!” Then, along comes Sotomayor. Now, they’re everywhere, shouting that this moderate Bush appointee, who graduated Princeton and Yale, is an unqualified quota pick. (She just has to be!)

Good luck telling people that white men are an oppressed minority next time, guys

Commentary on the right wing attack on Sotomayor:

Interested to see the bit about Buckley in the 1950”s in this one. I didn’t know he had opposed school integration.

You’ve already accepted her as disqualified; what does that tell us?

It tells us that I don’t trust Libs, what they believe, and how they generally go about their business. She makes up law on the fly; she’s unqualified for the job.

Pup, what makes me think she’s qualified for the job is that she has 16 years on the federal bench, has excellent credentials from tops schools, and has endorsements from other judges on both sides of the political spectrum who claim she is fantastic.

What exactly does one need to be qualified? And what did, say, Clarence Thomas have in the way of credentials that Sotomayor doesn’t have?

cdward: It is self-evident to me one of two things:

    1) If NoFearPup (and the various incarnations of same) is believes what he/she types, then the only thing that makes Thomas qualified while Sotomayor isn’t is that she was nominated by a lib while Thomas wasn’t.
    2) NoFearPup is a troll and doesn’t actually believe that and is just posting for attention.

Either way, I don’t really see a need to respond to NFP further.

cdward: “And what did, say, Clarence Thomas have in the way of credentials that Sotomayor doesn’t have?” Exactly! Now substitute Bork, Estrada, or any other conservative nominee for “Thomas”. If the Republicans want campaign money in 2010 and 2012, it’s time to make their base happy, NOW. Filibuster Sotomayor and use the Senator Obama Criterion. Thank you.
