The continental United States is in for a treat today as a total solar eclipse crosses the sky from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean. Depending where you are on the map, you'll be able to watch the moon pop in front of the sun, blocking its light beams and creating a temporary swath of darkness. It's set to be the coolest 2ish minutes anyone on Earth has ever seen... since the last total eclipse.

Provided you'll be in the proper viewing area, you'll want to take some NASA-recommended precautions to safely view the eclipse.
