Charlie Brown's passion for baseball is potent, pure, and palpable. Despite five decades' worth of humiliating losses (and only about ten wins -- most of which he isn't even around for), Chuck carries on managing the worst team in history for the love of the game. Whether he's on the pitcher's mound or (unsuccessfully) managing the likes of Schroeder, Shermy, Linus, Pig-Pen, Snoopy, Lucy, Patty, Frieda, Violet and a host of occasional players from the dugout, CB's a testament to unflinching commitment. He's just not very good at it.

Read on for a taste of Charlie Brown's rarely-rewarded passion in Peanuts.
