March means many things to many people, but its windy nature is near-universal (at least in North America). Mother Nature is all kinds of busy moving around fronts of differing temperatures and we feel the blowback. Hats are lifted from noggins, trash cans become unruly, and athletes compete with atmospheric conditions more than their opponents. After a long winter, however, it's a small price to pay for spring. Just don't plan on having a good hair day for a few weeks.
