I had a cat that bit a lamp cord and the cord bit back.
She survived but she never bit cords again.
(BTW, in north America it’s 120V)

Our little Pomeranian did the same when I was 14 (1971) and I swear to God he jumped 4 feet into the air and I’ve never heard a louder YIIIIIIPE!!! before or since. After that, he would hug the opposite wall whenever he came into the living room and avoid the cord side at all costs.
