In England and a few other English speaking countries they give railroad locomotives womens names. Here in the USA they give them numbers. When I was in the USAF in 1967 at Kincheloe AFB (just south of Sault Ste Marie Michigan) we had a squadron truck that we named Gertrude. It was made by International Harvester.

Renting that would be a nightmare. Not just the renting but you become quite paranoid, with good reason.
