    I am 52 and never have had the Mumps.
    All of my Siblings had them but not me. Mom tried to infect me by putting me with my siblings when they had them.

    The last time they had to try was when our extended family’s youngest son came down with the mumps. They put me with them for the entire weekend, and I still didn’t get them. Our Doctor told Mom some children do not get the Mumps as children, and I was one of them. Now If I get them now, it will be much worse.

    I thought mumps and pox were gifts my siblings gave me to get out of school
