You’re right, and I’m glad you wrote that. Thanks!

Sad but true Acacianpaladin, BUT IF those gas stations would have helped the American Public in some small way to keep the prices down by exposing the greed of those gas companies maybe our country wouldn’t be in such a fix. It is exhausting to have people that could have helped a situation throw up their hands and say it isn’t anything they could do and they are in the middle of it.

People who own gas stations don’t make their profit on the gas.

And yet, I’ll be getting a 35 cent/gallon discount on my fill-up today. Go figure!

What about all those gas stations that raise their price as much as a dime per gallon in a single day on the gas that’s already in their underground tanks, just because some spot market jumped due to a political dust-up in a non-oil-producing nation, such as Egypt or Syria?
How about the weeks or months that it takes these gas stations to lower these prices, after those commodities markets lower their prices?

Exxon-Mobile is the richest corporation on the planet. 2008 broke the record in earnings, 2012 broke their own 2008 record in earnings.

Sometime during the 60s, gas was 32c/gal.
    Gold was $32 per oz.
One ounce of gold could buy 100 gal of gas.
Now, one oz of gold will buy nearly 400 gal of gas!
It’s not that gas is expensive, it’s just that money is cheap!
