    @Guy Gilchrist
    Ernie’s only had one bully. Why the gang? Reboots aren’t always a good thing.

    Because today’s Nancy could handle a single bully by herself. Nowadays it takes a whole gang of them to take her down.

    I like the reboot…adds to the storyline. Maybe they will put Nancy on the big screen…I could see Eva Longoria playing Fritzi.

    Bullies like to travel in packs just in case the targets get together to fight them off.

    Guy…You were not around in 1938, so stick to the [known] facts here please. History can not be changed, only repeated, but not imbelished.
    But…continue…please!

    That bully in the background looks just like Sluggo. Is he? Then he’ll have a change of heart and save Nancy. <3

    Wow. Sluggo is exactly 10 days younger than my daddy would be if he were still here. R.I.P. Daddy

    First I ever heard of a bully picking on a girl.

    Just like with any second- or third-hand account, the story may not be an entirely accurate retelling of the original facts, and that’s not even due to trying to embellish. Note Fritzi even says, “as Nancy tells it.” And Fritzi might not even be remembering accurately what Nancy told her. Her “little girl was in trouble,” so she may have mentally over time made the real story out to be worse than it actually was.
