Nancy was created by Ernie Bushmiller in the 1930s. Since 1995, the strip has been drawn and written in Bushmiller's classic style by Guy and Brad Gilchrist. Nancy is famed for its gentle humor and surrealistic sight gags. Nancy's childlike innocence never wavers. She remains a devoted friend to her pal Sluggo, and can be, depending on the situation, a conceited prima donna or a fun-loving, cute and cheeky little girl.

Any I ever had never worked at all. They’re supposed to change colour according to your mood.
Here is a url for the science behind them:

Now THIS is classic Nancy! Thanks Guy.
But still give us the run-down on Sluggo’s past.
I read Nancy as a kid, many, many moons ago, should remember it, but don’t…

I had a mood ring as a teenager. It changed colors depending on how cold or warm your hands were. When I was cold, it turned black. When I was real warm, it was purplish-blue.

I wish I had started reading this when you give a history about Fritzi. It always bothered me that she didn’t seem to have any friends or boyfriend
The back story is cute and So will be cool to find out about Sluggo and even about Nancy. Since it ‘s “aunt Fritzi” who was her mother and what, was she an unwed mother of the 30’s, or 40’s?
