   That’s kind of dumb. First of all, what job back home? I thought Phil was out of work at the moment, just doing charity work for the time being. But even if that’s not the case, why would he think he has to quit everything before nourishing this relationship, talking to her, and see what kind of future they both might have?
   
   Why does he have to quit everything first?? Dumb.

    Hi. You missed the first part of the story. Phil has a job with the Mission network back home in the west. He went to Three Rocks to try to help the struggling Mission in Three Rocks during the holidays. You could have gone back to the beginning and seen caught up. There. Now you’re caught up.

    OMG! Gilchrist has been teasing us with a possible marriage for Fritzi & now we see that it prob’ly won’t happen. Hey! Isn’t this what always happened on Bonanza whenever it appeared that 1 of the Cartwright men (or Hop Sing or Candy) was gonna get married? Either the woman died or the engagement just got called off.
