Nancy was created by Ernie Bushmiller in the 1930s. Since 1995, the strip has been drawn and written in Bushmiller's classic style by Guy and Brad Gilchrist. Nancy is famed for its gentle humor and surrealistic sight gags. Nancy's childlike innocence never wavers. She remains a devoted friend to her pal Sluggo, and can be, depending on the situation, a conceited prima donna or a fun-loving, cute and cheeky little girl.

Just a bit, you say Sluggo? I do not see that being much exercise also. I really could make another comment also, but I perfer to keep it to myself, out of respect to others, and this great comic.

Actually, stretching is a warm-up for the REAL toil.
BTW, I’m waiting for the comments from those regretting that it’s not Aunt Fritzi in that leotard.

Actually, my family does have an exercise video featuring mostly stretching. It’s certainly better than not exercising at all, but I returned the video back to my mom because it’s too light & easy for me. Give me some intense kickboxing please!

considering how lazy sluggo usually is, this looks like a character reverse.

Yes, rare appearance… My thought is that Sluggo is not quite the exercise authority.

A pun to do Bushmiller proud.

@SUSAN NEWMAN
Recent scientific articles state that stretches actually do not warm up the muscles as previously thought and provide no benefit. I no longer do them before I walk or cycle.

@Wolf Emperor
If you only stretch your arms, you’ll only be tall on one end.

Sluggo gets exercise. Jumping to conclusions, running people down, throwing fits, casting aspersions, etc.
