This is a good comment on those “newspaper reporter statistics” that we see so often.
I like Dziva’s new look, but I wonder what her skull headdress was doing whhile it was hidden behind the balloons (it’s usually making some kind of unspoken statement).

Vlad and Dziva have made a very speedy trip, between panels 3 and 4, to Transylvania, where lightning has been known to have major effects! Love Wolfie as the local convenience store clerk!

For a moment I thought she was shoving Vlad out of the way and scared the cashier into transforming by moving that fast.
Lottery may be a “scam” to a statistician, but I figure I’m better off putting the money towards that than towards another fast food joint. I think most people are perfectly aware they’re not very likely to win at all.

Transylvania. Did you know we almost had a US state named Transylvania? We do have a Transylvanian University though.
There is a definite reason why lotteries get so large. Very few wins.

How about saving and accumulating the cash and purchasing bonds, or a fund such as one that matches the Dow Jones stocks? There, instead of a negative expected return, you at least have a positive expected return—which makes it a whole lot easier to end up with a profit.

Is Vlad Bats? Dziva should know the answer to that! Anyway, I like the way she made the quick trip to Transy. Oh BTW, Transylvania University is in the Great State of KENTUCKY!
