    The yellow pages by candlelight
The search could take all night
    But don’t be alarmed
    No one gets harmed
Vampy will suck but won’t bite

The Vampire’s Lament is getting edgy. He’d rather be human? Look what happened to Nick Knight when he tried to regain his humanity (Forever Knight).

Incredible…a vampire who’s actually cuter as a bat.

    @ Steve Remembers -
If you like the John McCrea poem you should track down the Herman Melville version, ‘Malvern Hill’. Written to commemerate one of the lesser known battles of the Civil War, published in 1866. I’ve always wondered if there was a connection to the McCrea poem, especially the last line in the Meville poem.

Thank you Dypak. I’ve heard of Malvern Hill, but not the poem. The “nature conquers all” theme is certainly there, and McCrea would have read Melville. (Heck, even I’ve read “Billy Bud” and tried to get into “Moby Dick!”)

    I see you’re channeling Greebo…
