Sort of quidditch-polo on dragons?
Now there’s a sporting event I’d sit through.
And even pay to see.

Love the weather vane on Thor’s helment & he looks a little like Yosemite Sam from Looney Toons!

Somehow, I just can’t picture Pibgorn in a football jersey.

Something ironic about a woman with a skull on her head calling someone else a hater.
You have a nice little quiet panel before the punchline. Nice touch.

When I first heard of Fantasy Football I honestly thought it was like D&D but with sports.

Actually Jo Jo, there such a game–it is called Blood Bowl and it pits teams of humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, ogres and trolls against each other in a game of football…

Nice tribute to Peter Paul & Mary (intentional?)

Eh, maybe.

It may have been a tribute, as Mary died recently.

Reading your comments was a real “slap the forehead and exlaim Of course!” moment for me. I’m sure you’re right that it is a nod to Peter, Paul and Mary.

No, it’s not an intentional nod to PP&M. It’s a nice sentiment and I wish I could say that it was intentional but to be honest, it never crossed my mind. Thor has a hammer, I thought it’d be a funny title for the book he’s reading. That’s all. Simple. It was just a secondary, throw-away joke. The main joke is what they say, the joke about fantasy football.
Thanks.

@JUSTIN THOMPSON Re: Syndication, and lack thereof
“You’ll never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public”
I’ve seen this attributed to both P.T. Barnum and H.L. Mencken. I’ve also seen it with “taste” replacing “intelligence”.
The quote seems to fit your situation.

It’s all in the timing, intentional or otherwise. Perhaps the football fans are in Gil Thorpe and Tank MacNamera.

Just a quickie - check out Dzva’s anger shown on her skull’s face in window #2.

Also the “caught out” look of the skull in panel #4.
Thor’s “cat that ate the canary” smile makes a nice counterpoint to that.
Justin, I’m constantly making “unintentional” puns like the one found here. Unless you had no familiarity with the song “If I Had A Hammer” at all, I’m betting some part of your apparently Jungian ENFP mind threw up that idea out of nowhere under a pirate flag.
