This reads like a Monty Python gag – Snabbed? Didn’t! Did!

And now we see clearly what wasn’t obvious in profile–the “Scary black armor” has a helmet shaped like a pig’s head. Snort, snort.

Uhh, “snabbed”? The moment I saw it, I was going to raise the hue and cry in my comment, but the knights beat me to it! (BTW, I like the way Sir George has metamorphosed into Darth Knight!)

My first thought was the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Great Pythonesque dialogue supported the theory.

Ahhh! Now I see why the “announcer” looks so familiar…it’s really Tarkin….Thanks, Sisyphos

Love the “pig (or boar) head” Darth Vader inspired helmet on the Black Knight!

Everyone’s looking at the wannabe Darth Vader helmet and completely overlooking the hilarious weirdness that’s topping everybody else’s helmets.

I think there’s a lesson here, but how to make sure everyone else snabs it is beyond me. ;)

I love this comic, Monty Python in graphic setting.

Except for not being in black, the one with the branch on his head looks like the Knights who say Ni

    Very good Justin!

So if Boody brings them a shrubbery, does that get him off the hook?

Snab is a combination of snaffle and nab. Just like in Alice in wonderland, he’s combining words to get his meaning. I wonder if the knight has a “Vorpal sword”?

    dmarkowski said, 2 months ago

I love the Monty Python references. Especially in panels 4 and 5, you have the Knight who says Ni.

We can’t risk another frontal assault - that Boody’s DYNAMITE!

as I am fluent in Typo-nese Let me translate, please… Pig Boy obviously let his spaces and s’s overtake his speechifyin’.

Thus, “… was snabbed…”, should be, …”wass nabbed…”, this fixes the spacing problem. Now remove the extra s from “wass” and there you have it, the translation from Typo-nese to English-ish.

Of course, shippingtroll & meassa11, “was snabbed” could be a portmanteau of “was snatched, nabbed and grabbed” given out of sheer rage and haste (or “raste”). ;)

A combination of Python and Star Wars? The overtones and undertones are hilarious - and our favourite little dragon is still afraid of heights ……

In previous panels, I was thinking Sir George looked like a dragon’s profile… (cue the irony music) but a pig or boar works too! :)

The first panel is reminiscent of Darth Vader and Moff Tarkin.

    ”snabbed”

A combination of the two words “snatch” and “nabbed.” Pranksters that hide other’s things at another location then asking for ransom for its return (as in ‘kidnapped.’) usually do this. Another term for “snagged.”

    (From the Urban Dictionary)

My first thought was snabbed came from snagged and nabbed (or grabbed).

As for Sir George’s helmet, it came across to me as Darth Vader as done by Jim Henson’s Pigs in Space.

Hmm: Darth Porker, the Knights of “Ni!” (or was that “Icki-icki-icki-ptwang!…”?) and other Monty Pythonese buffonery, Lewis Carroll, and how many other references I’ve missed? Good one, Justin!
